FAQ
What is included in the price?
Art supplies, guidance from a variety of skilled Guest Artists, and hours of supervised fun! The price also directly contributes to the innovative healing arts programs CHAP offers to critically ill, chronically ill, and disabled children and their loved ones.
Where is CHAP located?
Summer Workshops take place in our studio in Sellwood, located at 8065 SE Grand Ave. Portland, OR 97202.
Often we take advantage of this great neighborhood and take snack+ play breaks across the street at Sellwood Park.
What ages are Workshops open to?
Summer Workshops are recommended for children ages 6-12ish.
How many children attend each session? How many adults are on site?
Generally, each session has 8-15 kids. CHAP strives to maintain a 5:1 ratio of children to adults in our studio, ensuring supervision and safety. All staff + volunteers have passed a criminal background check.
Are workshops open to the public?
Yes! This is one of the few opportunities where we open our doors to the public and invite children of all abilities to participate in the fun activities CHAP has to offer.
Will lunch be provided?
No, but some snacks may be provided. Please send your kid with a water bottle and substantial snack/lunch.
What is your cancellation policy?
A full refund, minus a $20 administrative fee, can be made if parents notify CHAP at least 7 days before workshop start date. There are no refunds for unattended days. If parents/guardians need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible.
