Fardad joined Intel Corp. in 1984 after receiving his MS in electrical engineering from Oregon State University. He stayed with Intel for nearly 32 years until his retirement this past June. His focus at Intel was on manufacturing health and operational excellence in the first two decades of his career. During the last decade, Fardad focused on development and deployment of complex Quality Systems for both Intel manufacturing sites as well as those belonging to Intel suppliers.

Through a partnership with the Portland branch of Social Venture Partners, Fardad excitedly joined CHAP in mid September as an Encore Fellow with the goal of assisting the CHAP Executive Director to develop and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap.

Fardad has a significant admiration for CHAP’s mission and his goal is to learn how to most effectively apply his project management competencies in the non-profit environment. His other goal is to spend more time with his wife, three children, and extended family that he is lucky to have in Portland.
