–Children’s Healing Art Project is founded by Frank Etxaniz and Charlie Swindells; established as a 501(c)3

2007

–Launch of Holiday Bizarres, Open Studios, and Art Clubs in the Pearl

–Start of programs at OHSU: starting in 10-South, developing further into the Pediatric Neurosurgery floor and the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology floor through the Knight’s Cancer Institute

2008

–Start of of Art Factories and Workshops

–Launch of programs at Shriners Hospital for Children

–Partnership begins with United Cerebral Palsy

2009

–Partnership begins with Jr Diabetes Research Foundation and Washington School for the Blind

2010

–Partnership begins with Candlelighters for Children with Cancer and Camp Erin

2011

–First CHAPlandia

–Introduced Inclusive Summer Art Workshops

2012

–Partnership begins with Down Syndrome Network Oregon (DSNO)

–Studio moves to Sellwood
